SMATV - (satellite master antennae television) suitable for hotels, holiday resorts, care homes, prisons & hospitals or anywhere you need full control of viewing options. This type of system would suit hotels, retail outlet shops, retail outlet centres, Gym’s or anywhere you would want to control the TV channel line up over multiple TV’s. You design the channel line up around the clientele.
MATV - (master antennae television) suitable for any type of commercial premises. The lower budget option to IRS.
MATV has been around since flats and multi occupancy dwellings have been available to meet consumer needs. MATV systems carry TV and/or radio signals normally via a coaxial network out to multiple sockets / end users. This provides a cheaper alternative to SMATV. There are no subscriptions. The system can be installed at a much more basic level requiring less planning and design
IRS - (integrated reception system) suitable for the ultimate in choice for your residents. Ideal for apartments this systems allows freedom of choice for each individual. IRS can best be described as 'everything to everyone', or the full range of TV services, normally within a communal system; UHF, satellite, FM and/or DAB. Residents are free to choose whichever services best meet their requirements. An IRS can be installed in any building from the smallest to the largest, both existing or new-build or even across a housing estate. Did you know that the vast majority of council owned communal dwellings use IRS!
